Some other guy who is also making cast metal ASOIAF fan art!

I have considered doing this exact project, but someone beat me to it (while I was delaying and worrying about not having much experience carving wood)! Guess I'll have to learn to be more willing to ruin some wood making mistakes and maybe start out with a different sigil for the sake of originality when I try it...

Cast aluminum Targaryen sigil plaque:

Came out looking pretty good IMO... Perhaps the carving could have been a little more detailed so the relief details would show up more in the casting, but at least he actually made something. That goes a long way in my book.
Tobho had learned to work Valyrian steel at the forges of Qohor as a boy. Only a man who knew the spells could take old weapons and forge them anew.

Should have pointed out that in the video in the OP, the guy actually ended up making a Blackfyre sigil. But he thought he was doing a Targ one...

Here is yet another internet crazy who is making cast metal GoT fan art. Dragon eggs and a Direwolf sigil, using 3D printer technology and lost wax block investment casting method. Surprisingly successful for using homebrewed investment mold making materials!

Channel name is projecttube. I talked with him a bit about this when he joined a casting forum I am on; he does a lot of pop culture related stuff on his channel, but was an actual real life ASOIAF book fan before the show was a Thing (I believe him too, he recognized my screen name (Tobho Mott) there right away). He says he will probably do more GoT stuff at some point, so keep an eye out if you like this kind of stuff.

Aaaand another. Paul's Garage. I have been watching his stuff for months, so when he started trying to make a mini metal Jon Snow bust using lost PLA block investment casting, I squee'd a little. He had less success with his DiY mold recipe, but probably a lot of that was because it is more difficult to successfully burn out the PLA plastic from the mold than if he had used wax. Wax however, is a lot more difficult to 3D print. There are wax filaments, but it is apparently harder to print certain types of shapes with it. I think he has read the books too - when I commented that Jon's missing nose on his casting just meant he should call it Tyrion, he knew what I meant. He also recognized my youtube name as a book reference, which would be very impressive for a show-only fan.

his videos are always pretty funny too, not always metal casting but always entertaining.
