I feel pretty confident we'll see UnCat at the season finale, and it will end with Brienne meeting her. I think whether or not that ending will be the cliffhanger Brienne Feast ending will depend on how much HBO bribed/threatened GRRM so they can write it as close to the books as possible.

I also feel it'll be the last scene of Ep. 10 but it won't be Brienne. It'll just be some "unfortunate" Frey's that run into the Brotherhood...just like the book. I think the Brienne meeting will take place next year sometime. We'll see I guess...

Yep. I don't see them using up the Brienne bit this early. She and Pod need to go on a few more adventures.
Sometimes you write a story that goes where, as a member of the audience, you wouldn't want it to go. Because anything else would be dishonest.

I wonder where they will leave her and Pod this season. I seriously doubt they ever make it to the Eyrie...or the Wall. Now that Rorge, Biter and Locke are all dead she doesn't really have someone to encounter that we know of. I saw an interview with the Brienne actress and she says this season she bites a man's ear off...I thought that would be Rorge until last episode seeing as how there is no Vargo Hoat, and Locke is dead. It seems weird that her big encounter this season would be with a random.

I had forgotten her comment about biting an ear off. That may suggest they're accelerating that story line to the LS reveal. Seems weird to me, though, when they could mine her story the way they have with the Hound and Arya, inventing interactions and extending that material over a whole season.

From a story telling perspective, it seems like having LS hanging someone (or several someones) who actually caused her family harm, would be a more satisfying sequence that would elevate excitement for the following season, than having her threaten and torment someone the audience knows is loyal to Cat.

And based on how D&D have been structuring this season, with a few cheesy inventions (I think we're about to get one of the cheesiest in the next episode) that lean heavily on making the audience think something good is about to happen, to not pay that off yet again, at the end of this season, would be more than groan inducing.

That is why I believe the LS payoff will be her ordering the hanging of Frey men. Granted, they could structure the sequence in such a way that it is essentially a "happy" reunion where no threats are made.

I think it will be a Frey as well. Probably not Merrett like in the books because I'm sure they want to condense the gazillion Freys down to a few. I think it might be Stevron (Walder's 1st son) who is 1st in line to inherit. In Feast for Crows we're told that Ryman is hung (Stevron's 1st son and 2nd in line) and then that Stevron dies from an infected wound, meaning the first two Frey's in the line of succession are dead. I think they might speed this up a bit by merging these two events and having Stevron hanged in ep 410. It could also be Black Walder because we know his involvement in the RW and this would be payback, but I think he will be Lord of the Crossing before long in the books.

If Brienne doesn't meet Lady Stonehearty this season and she can't have her big fight with Rorge and Biter or Locke, I can't think of a satisfying ending for her this season.
